Questions people actually ask
Answered straightPlay the whole ride — the offers, the farewell, what comes after. The full hockey career simulator runs every season against the real record book, so you finally see how your career actually reads.
What is the NHL career simulator?
A hockey life from junior to the rafters, played out in the browser. Junior hockey, the draft, then the league three seasons at a time — the entry deal, the trade deadline, the Cup window that opens once and may not open again.
Skater or goalie?
Two different sports, honestly. A forward is measured against 92 goals and 215 points in a season — the real NHL records. A goalie is measured on 48 wins and a .944 save percentage. One of them scores; the other stops everything and gets blamed anyway.
What is the Cup window?
The chapter around 30, and it is the one that defines most careers. Your club is either built to win then or it is not, and the offers that arrive beforehand decide which. Chase the Cup and you may take less money; take the money and you may watch it from somewhere else.
Does the draft position matter?
Yes. Junior production sets your stock and the draft returns a real slot, which decides how quickly you get ice time worth producing on. A late pick can still get there — it just spends a season or two proving it first.
How do the chapters run?
Junior hockey, then the Draft. After that it is Entry years, Breakout, Prime, Cup window and Veteran years, at three seasons apiece. The Farewell chapter asks whether you hang them up, and the Front office runs once you have.
Can I actually score 92 in a season?
It is on the board, and it almost never happens. The record row carries the real single-season marks and counts only seasons that genuinely beat one, which is why most finished careers read zero across the top.
Is a hockey career game the same as this?
Same thing. Career game, career simulator, career mode — different words for one browser game where the record book does the scoring and every checkpoint is a choice you make.
What comes after the playing days?
You choose a last run or a clean exit, then the front office chapter closes it out. Those years attach to your career and can raise how it finally reads — never lower it.
Can someone else play my career?
They get their own. The challenge opens a fresh hockey life for them with your finished card attached, so the only way to beat you is to go do it.
