Questions
What can I actually play on this page?
Four things, all from the same archive. The daily board deals one shared eleven that everybody in the world gets that day. A free run deals you fresh eras every time. Blind draft hides the numbers so you pick on reputation alone. Salary cap gives you a budget and makes you choose who you cannot afford.
How far back does the soccer archive go?
To the era when the club game and the international game were already serious competitions, and forward to players still on the pitch. Every card is one real season a player actually had, with the goals, assists, appearances or clean sheets that season produced.
How do you compare a 1970s forward with one playing now?
Each season is rated against the football of its own decade, not against today. A striker from a low-scoring era is judged by what leading the line meant then, so his card is not quietly punished for a tactical world he never played in. That is the only comparison that is honest across a century.
Which leagues and competitions are in the pool?
The major European leagues where most of the sport's recorded history sits, plus the international game. Each club chapter is identified by its city and years — Manchester, Madrid, Milan and the rest — so the player pool follows the real historical era.
What is the daily soccer board?
One eleven, live for the calendar day, identical for everyone who opens it. You draft it once, the season runs, and your result goes on that day's shared table. It is the version worth arguing about, because your friend faced exactly the same choices you did.
Do goalkeepers really matter here?
Yes, and skipping one is the classic way to lose a season you should have won. A keeper is scored on clean sheets rather than goals, so the seat cannot be filled with a famous attacker — it has to be filled with someone who actually kept them out.
